The first African American to be elected President of the United States inherits (from not only Republicans and Democrats, but "Main Street America" as well) two wars, a planet in peril and the worst financial crisis in a century.
Yet the changing of the guard goes smoothly. "If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where anything is possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive; who still questions the power of our democracy... this... is your answer."

Well hello over-achiever!! I'm glad that you've already got so much done for Christmas. We actually have taken all of the stress out of the the holidays this year. We are going to my mother-in-laws in Montana for Thanksgiving. It is the first time in over 15 yrs that I haven't had to cook the WHOLE thanksgiving meal. I will help of coarse but it will be so nice to enjoy someone elses cooking.
And for Christmas we are going to California for a week and a half to my sons. Three of my 5 kids will be other places for Christmas so just my oldest daughter is going with us down there. And this year we drew names and we ALL are exchanging one gift. We all decided that none of us needed anything and we would rather save our money and travel instead. So I am really going to enjoy Christmas this year with no stress at all. It feels so good to not have to worry about anything.
So how is school going? I'm so glad that I don't have that worry either. I am registered for winter with 14 credits and so I'm excited about that.

Hey, I am glad you found me. Now I can keep up with the hippest woman/mom/future amazing teacher. What's new? Still taking classes or are you the one in the front of the class yet?
I miss Rexburg, there is nothing like it.
For now, I am just at home through the holidays & my brothers mission homecoming. Then, I am working at BYU's Aspen Grove for the winter.

Laurene - In response to you comment on my blog, two things:
1 - Yes - that is YOUR son commenting on my posts. We had a delightful time with him over President's day weekend. He is very sweet. He was kind, considerate and helpful. He makes Trevor so happy. I love when the two of them can get together. He also makes me feel better about myself when he rolls his eyes at Trev, looks at me and says, "You are the only person I know who could be married to this bum and put up with him." Sweet boy.
2 - If you are in Logan my hands-down reccomendation is Calloways for dinner. It is actually out in Smithfield, and it was our favorite restaraunt. Two close runners would also be Le Nonne ( more expensive) or Blackstone. Or - the best thai food I have ever had is also in Logan at a little place called Kamin. (Indian Oven is also great if you like indian food.) Hope that helps a bit. Call Trev or I if you need directions to any of these places. For the most part they are easy to find.
